EXAMINING TYPOGRAPHICAL IMPACT Part of an advanced study into the function of form, space, and balance of typography. The main idea was to show how typographic choices could alter the tone of a written work. For this experiment I took an identical piece of copy that I wrote, and visually arranged into two completely different accordion books (aside from the covers). The result is a completely different take on the text for most readers. Both speak about going to a room to listen to music to escape for a bit. One expresses the music and the room itself visually, and energetically. The other highlights the comforting, calming nature of the space in which to escape into. They are presented as a set encapsulated within a record cover.
